Firstly, the gifts for the Sec 1s are done! Well, Ching Yan needs to do one more. But, it'll be done before the games tomorrow. Anyway, thanks to those who stayed back to help! :D

I know that I've said this in the afternoon, but, I want to comment on Xiang Bei and Ariel. They took the initiative to sweep the floor as soon as the Sec 4s said that we're going to clean the den. Good work! Very responsible of you! :D But, there were a handful of you who didn't do anything. I don't want to mention names, but, you know who you are. Especially one of you. You weren't doing anything. The others were either fetching water, sweeping the floor or wiping the cubby holes, but you stood there, not helping. Do you think it was very responsible of you to do that? The Sec 4s are very disappointed in you. Please improve.

Topic: What To Do With Worry?

must have heard of the famous phrase "Dun Worry Be Happy!" before eh?
that's my favourite phrase and something that i kind of lived by during my sec. school years .. loved to sign off with "Dun Worry Be Happy!" in letters, birthday cards, etc .. everytime when i was faced with problems or my friends were upset, i would tell myself and friends "Dun Worry Be Happy!" ... there's a chinese saying that "the sky won't fall even at the biggest problem!" .. so it kept me optimistic, positive about life even at the its worst time, toughest moment ...
but honestly, sometimes it just doesn't work like that .. some problems can't be solved just by saying "Dun Worry Be Happy!" .. some worries just keep bugging us no matter how hard we try to overcome them .. sometimes it takes more than looking at smiley faces to stay positive and happy when the things in life seem to be going wrong and out of control ..

now i realise .. it takes God .. it takes God to calm the storms in our lives for us .. remember the song that i shared during our last sat meeting?
when the oceans rise and thunders roar
i will soar with you above the storm
Father You are King over the flood
i will be still
know You are God
it takes God to remove the worries that we have in life .. ever heard of the saying "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."? ever wonder who said that? i heard of this phrase before i became a Christian .. then i found out that it was Jesus ...
Jesus said in Matthew 6:33-34 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
i was surprised and excited to discover that Jesus was the one who actually said that .. now there's really a reason why i can say "Dun Worry Be Happy!" ... because Jesus, God, doesn't lie .. He is faithful to the promises He has made and He is reliable .. the phrase that i once thought came from some random person actually came from God Himself!

1 Peter 5:7 says "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." God cares about us .. He loves us, that's why He is willing to take upon Himself all the worries of our lives .. that's why He chose to die upon the cross ... that's why we can be free when we trust in Him.

And, we had a sharing session with Eleora and Jaslyn yesterday. It's not an official GB meeting. It was like, hanging out and stuff. The girls who went were Yan Ling, Ching Yan, Xiang Bei, Yuen Yi, Wei Foong, Jing Ru and me.

yuen wah ur post very emotional lea... i cried while reading it... we all noe that on saturday it wasn't your fault but actually somehow i felt tt e one at fault is me... i felt very bad that i made u cry and that i made a very big mistake and let u get scolded.... anyway lets not focus on the past and juz keep walking to the future... Hi! Okay. I've got alot to say.

First off, we've recruited 5 or 6 girls! *Applause* Great job everyone! XD Let's hope that 67th will be a bigger and more united company!

Second, the Sec 4s had a very emotional day yesterday. I got reprimanded by Ching Yan. But, that wasn't the reason why I broke down. I felt that, I wasn't responsible enough to lead 67th. I felt that, I couldn't make anyone listen to me. It's much much easier to follow instructions then to make people listen to your instructions. I'd rather follow than lead. It's very hard to make people listen to you. I felt disappointed when nobody listened to what I was saying. I felt stupid. Why do I even bother to accept this role as a leader, when I can't make anyone listen to me? I didn't know it was this hard. Ching Yan, I don't blame you. I totally understand why you reprimanded me. I took it as advice. Thank you. Thanks for the tips and all. Xue Ting, Yan Ling and Florence, I love you guys. I can never thank you enough. Thanks for all your support. The fun times we had are always in my mind. They're sewn onto my heart, and can't be removed. Man, I'm going to cry if I continue this. Lol. To the Sec 2s and 3s, I hope that you can just give the Sec 4s respect. Listen to us. We can be mean and nice. But, it's up to you guys. We're trying hard not to be strict. But, you guys got to do your part too. You guys have no idea how hard it is to make people listen to you and follow your instructions. I hope that you'll understand and not blame us if we're too harsh on you. Helpers. :) Thanks for coming down on Saturdays and inviting us to church. We appreciate it! Hello, people! Guess who? You still owe me sodas for the email. Regarding what Miss Ng said today. Punctuality, attendance etc. We should really commit ourselves. Prove to people that GB's very united! That way, we can "kope" more people in on Recruitment Day. You can't get promoted if your attendance is below 85% anyway. ;D The Sec 4s (Florence, Xue Ting, Yan Ling and yours truly) had a discussion with the teachers today. Miss Ng said that, we should try to get 10 girls. Then we'll have 28 girls this year. And when the Sec 4s step down, 67th will have 24 girls. So, let's hope that there'll be lots of girls joining 67th! Okay then. I shall end this post with the details on next Wednesday's meeting.
